Friends of Stanly County Animals was founded in July, 2012. We are a licensed 501c3 non profit, foster based rescue run SOLELY by volunteers. We save animals from our local high kill heart stick shelter. We also help those who have been abandoned, neglected, or owner surrendered. They are spay/neutered and placed into foster homes with families who give them the love, support, and socialization skills to help get them ready for their "best life" in the home of their "forever family".
Fosters are our "lifeline". We simply can not save lives without them. As an approved foster, your sole responsibility is taking care of the animal. That includes unconditional love, companionship, and training. Your commitment means we take on the financial responsibility including food, crate, vetting, etc. The "hands on" commitment gives each rescue animal just what it needs to become ready for the "forever" family they so deserve.
Our team is Growing daily! We welcome you to become a part of it in whatever way fits you best! We need fosters, volunteers, transporters, donors, etc. Contact us and make a difference in the life of an animal. If you would like to foster, please complete and return our Foster Application.
